You can get away with using one of the cheap cleat remover/installers. I know because I did for years. But for 11 bucks this makes it SOoo much faster and easier. I will say that the ripper piece is made for the Softspike cleat design specifically so if you use a different style of cleat it won't be perfect but really it just rips them out anyway. Like I said, this makes changing cleats so easy it's worth 11 bucks.

I like this for both removing and installing cleats. The bit with teeth really take out worn out cleats that other wrenches I had would not remove. The two prong bit has longer prongs than most other wrenches which seems to help when either removing or installing a cleat.

I couldn't get my old soft spikes out and decided to try this. Works great! I highly recommend this for inserting and removing soft spikes.

This is a great tool for ripping out those stubborn cleats that are worn down and stuck. The ripper grips well, and a quick twist of the wrist gets the cleat loose. For installing, the pin tool makes it easy to get them seated.My shoes use the Fast Twist cleats, so I can't comment on the ratcheting action (only a quarter-turn to install or remove a cleat), but I can see how it could be useful if you have fully threaded cleats. The handle fits in the hand well, and has a compartment to store whichever head you don't have installed in the tool at the time.

Love this tool. It worked great on swapping out the spikes on my Adidas Golf shoes. Even the back spikes which where worn down to a nub, Cleat caddy popped them right off. I wonder if they sell different heads for different cleats

Very easy tools to use. Took about 10 minutes to replace all my spikes. Be careful, the tool to remove the old spikes is a bit sharp.
