I use this a lot working as an Auto Technician. Lost my JNC550 which worked perfectly decided to get this one because of the better clamps. Never had any issues and always stays charged with auto charge feature.

I selected this starter box after calling my local AAA towing service (they cover two states) and asking what they use. They said JNC. I know why; it's solid, it's easy to use, and I've done repeated starts on one charge. Unit is rugged, has a great way to store the cables, and holds a charge. If I had improvements to make, they'd be: Cables could be just a little longer so unit can rest on the ground, wish the built-in work light could swivel, and a grippy rubber overmold on the handle would have been nice. But this baby's built tough (it's heavy) and has come through, so no complaints. I'd definitely recommend.

My SUV alternator was not charging properly. Husband had pro jumper on wheels with extension cord 50 ft long. Very hard to use and ended up calling again. When mechanic came to jump start, he was carrying a jump carry. I was blown away when it had the power to jump my 5.9l suv! Asked him how many times can he use before recharge and he uses all day long with no problem! I picked it up, weight was about same as gallon of water.Did my research and reviewed warranties of this and others and by far jump carry was the absolute winner. While researching, a important fact was apparent immediately, cable length. My suv is tall and because I am alone, I have to clamp to battery and then enter vehicle to turn key.Long cables gave me freedom to keep charger on ground, clamp battery, turn charging on, turn key and suv (so dead the interior lights wouldn't come on) immediately turned over!Since it has jumped my truck 6 different times over a couple months and still have not had too recharge the battery.This is the best item I had to buy since Husband died last year. Thought it would be intimidating to use, NOT! Straight forward with instructions on charger, helpful because of age, I do forget. I keep in suv behind my seat, because it is thin takes little space. BTW, gave husband's pro charger away! :) Hope this helps!!!

A GREAT improvement over the blue JNC660. They changed the ends on the 660 and they rarely fit on any batteries with inset posts. The ends on this unit are much narrower and fit well on all the European batteries. Also it beeps at you if you hook it up backwards on one of those bright and blurry Monday mornings. The volt meter is great for a quick state of charge on the battery you are jumping.

Works great - jump starts lawn mower several times between charging.

One of my vehicles was parked for more than two months. I knew the battery would be weak, so I immediately opened the hood and connected each of the clamps. The vehicle battery voltage immediately displayed on the JNC770R at 3.8 volts. I turned on the unit, hopped in the car, and it started on the first attempt. This is an awesome jumpstarter. It???s got some weight to it, so take that into consideration if you???ve got a bad back.

Might be a little on the heavy side for some people. I used it three times and still shows a full charge.
