I bought this to drill a hole through a stainless steel teaspoon (it was a craft project), it broke within seconds.

Trying to drill a hole in quite soft steel, with oil bath, it's not that it got dull, rather the cutting edges bent inward so that they didn't bite. What are these, pot metal? Plastic?

I used the drill bit to drill out spot/tack welds on a car-seat frame. I managed to drill out 2 and attempted a 3rd, but gave up. I dipped the bit in cutting oil and removed metal shavings. Although the bit was not hot to the touch, it was dull.

Ha ha I'm so punny (sorry). Seriously though I'm so impressed with Cobalt over standard titanium coated steel. Noticeably better quality all around.

Good bits, and very inexpensive. I got them to use as starter bits when drilling into steel. They hold up for about a dozen 1/4 deep holes through steel and then start to lose their sharpness. With the cheep price, I can then toss them or use them for general wood use. Will def be buying more!

These bits work well on steel at 3/8 '' thick or less, but they work well, they are consistent.

These are difficult for me to find locally. I needed to drill out a grade 9.9 bolt that had broken off. With patience, cutting oil and cobalt drill bits, I now have it tapped and the intake re-installed.Why would Honda use 9.9 bolts into an Aluminium head?

Needed to drill out some steel rivets, and the other bits in my arsenal weren't cutting it. Ordered this and the 1/4 size and they worked like a charm.Didn't use any lubricant because I'm cheap/lazy and really went hard on those rivets - no breakage, weeble-wobble, vengeful spirits, or the like from these bits. They seem excellent, and I'll absolutely be buying again from Bosch if I need more sizes.

Best bits I bought so far use them for drilling threw spring steel. Sometimes the metal can be a bit tough. Everything else fails pair to these.

These are the most durable bits that I have found. They last much longer than any other bit that I have used on steel. I have tried many, and kept wearing through drill bits, while building a shop from steel, until I researched and found that cobalt should last.Cobalt nbits were not available locally, so I bought them here and from Menard. They are higher, but had some larger sizes.
