These are the most durable bits that I have found. They last much longer than any other bit that I have used on steel. I have tried many, and kept wearing through drill bits, while building a shop from steel, until I researched and found that cobalt should last.Cobalt nbits were not available locally, so I bought them here and from Menard. They are higher, but had some larger sizes.

Tried several brand-name high-quality bitts and none would drill into stainless steel. Amazingly, these will! Did all I needed to do with two of them. Remember to go slowly and don't spare the cutting oil.

Bought to replace broken Dewalt titanium bit. Bosch Cobalt bit was less flexible, drilled a truer hole, and kept an edge longer than its Dewalt titanium counterpart.

I drilled 6 holes thru 1/4” steel plate. I imagine it would have done a 7th. No problems. I will likely use it once more in the next 20 years.
