They are soft but they are thin.The size I bought was a little big for a 5 year old...but it can still be worn.I am thinking of getting another pack.All in all not a bad buy!

I bought these for my 3yr old grandson and the top fit a it too big but after washing them they fit a little better.

I bought the 10pk in 2-3T and it fits perfect! My Toddler boy is on the smaller side for a 3 year old. However, if your child is bigger than other 3 year olds, I would recommend that you take a size 3-4T or 4T. The material is ok it feels like cotton to me. Only one thing it seems as if the neckline is easy to get stretchy. I am watching them haven't washed it as yet but it's a good buy.
