I wasn't expecting to get a new needle valve too! But I did and I'm so pleased. On these stoves this item is very likely to foul so it's definitely worth replacing it if you can't clean it and you're not getting a strong blue flame.

Old generator was clogged with carbon and stove flame was yellow. This new generator fixed the stove. Blue flame is back and no more soot on the bottom of pots.
