This is replacement canopy for me - I've owned two other Colemans, and when i needed a new one, i went right back to this exact model canopy. Set up/take down is easy (best with at least a couple of people, but i've done it alone too!), the pagoda style (no drippy sides that direct the water right down the edge of the living space, the size (i have purchased both the 12x12 and 15x15) which allows me to put my camping tent under the canopy on a rainy weekend of camping), and the cost (comparable for other canopys of lesser qualify and function), keeps me a loyal fan of the Coleman Pagoda style canopy.

The extended area of a 13 x 13 canopy makes a big difference when it's most needed. Yet the zippered bag it comes in is no bigger than one for a 10 x 10 canopy. I've tied 10 x 12 tarps to the eves of the frame and staked them out to add dry space and wind protection during rain storms, to preserve attitudes.I think the canopy material is good for 1 or 2 seasons depending on how often you use it and the weather. The metal frame will last for years. The material just withers in the sun. It gets thinner/brittle and tears with time, usually at points where the material touches the framework, especially at joints.I'd recommend using a soft but sturdy cloth, leather, or other fabric to make pads that wedge between the material top and the frame at the points where they rub the most -- at least until Coleman makes protections that are better than the unsatisfactory attempts they've already made.Over perhaps a dozen years I've bought 4 of these because though they don't don't last long, I've never found anything better close to this price. It's easier to put up with two people but with patience and persistence one person can put it up in about 10-15 minutes alone.

This product is great. We use it for our outdoor kitchen. Works perfectly to cover all our tables and equipment. Also we can lower it to cover the kitchen area up at night.

The last Coleman instant tent last me 8 years and the cover finally tore in high winds skating on the ground. So I ordered another one e like it. Working great so far.

This is a nice canopy that provides a good deal of shade but the eaves are sometimes a bit hard to get into place. Other than that I really like this canopy and have used it at the beach two years running.

This was great at the beach. Because of weight (45lbs) don't try hand carry long distance, we used it when we drive on the beach. Heaver stakes are needed for beach wind. Easy to set up with a couple of people, It preformed great.

Easy to assemble with click in place method and breakdowns easily. I especially like that there are tabs near the top of each corner that keep canopy in place. I had purchased this model from costco several years ago and loved it, thought I was getting the same one this year but unfortunately it required you to push the middle of the roof to make it taunt. Now I am just 5ft tall and even on a step ladder it didn't work. So here I am excited to find the duplicate of my previous purchase that works well for a shorty like me. I like that it has awning type roof sides that allows water to shed should it rain. Comes in a handy rolling bag that I can easily maneuver. I would recommend this for your shade (light rain) needs.

The canopy is a little heavy to wheel around is the only disadvantage. We use it for shade at Baseball games and we love it, multiple families can sit under this to get some shade.

I love the size, and the almost easy setup. I don't love that we feel the need to remove the fabric from the frame each time we setup/ teardown the canopy. We started out leaving the top on, like our older 10 foot canopy, but noticed some canvas pinching and the velcro straps are right where the frame scissors. You could leave the top on and collapse the frame, but we think it will last much longer by taking it off. The handles and levers on the moving parts are much nicer than the old metal push-buttons. One other gripe is the bag. I haven't found a way to put the frame in the bag without lifting the frame. That turns it into a two person job. On our old canopy you could slide the bag on from the top, then lay the whole thing down and zip the bottom. All in all, the extra shade is great, and the canopy doesn't try to fly away any more than the old 10 foot one.

I purchased for the beach and it was difficult to set up due to the sand. When it comes time to press button to extend the legs all the way down, you will find that there is sand in the red mechanism. You need to shake out the sand veeerry vigorously for the button to press down into it and the legs to come out properly. Next time I will: TIE PLASTIC BAGS AROUND EACH FOOT OF THE FRAME before set up so as to not get sand in the locking mechanisms. It was hard to get each leg to lock (press on bottom of button) even after shaking sand out. Everyone had to help bat the mechanism .Also: Once the outer frame is extended make sure to push the roof rods that lead to each corner UP to straighten it out and make corners protrude out of frame for the canopy. If I knew this I would've saved 15 minutes trying to get it to really open up.It was durable and we had light wind the whole time. The stakes still helped even though it was in sand and can move a bit.I agree with a previous review: “At least take Beach out of the title of this product. Seriously” unless you provide some small canvas bags for each leg while setting up and instruct to put on.Great once it was set up. I love that the bag it comes in has little wheels although useless on the sand lol.

My husband bought this for camping. We used it for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was great! I only had one complaint. It was raining pretty hard, and it did leak on the inside where the stitching of the two different fabrics meet. Which was annoying, it would drip on you occasionally, and let do water dripping down the legs. I would rather it be one solid piece of fabric to prevent that. Other than that it's perfect!
