It works. I bought battery holders that take three AA batteries and plug in to a D space. With 12 AA high power rechargeables, this thing went all summer inflating my Saturn raft. It works quickly and saves a lot of pumping by hand. You do still need to top up the pressure with a hand pump, but it only takes a minute. The biggest bonus was that this pump will also vacuum out your boat. It works fast and collapses the boat completely, making it much easier to fold up and store. I keep it in my dry bag so I always have it.

It's a good pump but not great! Gets the job done but I've had other pumps around the same size that are more mightier. The air flow is not as fast as others. I use it for my inflatable rafts. Good Pump for the price.

I bought this to take with me to Mexico to blow up pool floats. It fit great in my luggage with room to spare! It also works great - at least for pool floats.
