Mission: The Compass Center was founded in 1920 to serve sailors & loggers headquartered in Seattle. After several transitions, the center is now a social services agency serving the homeless population. By starting with basic needs, food, a safe place to sleep, people are given a chance to achieve a life of stability, security and independence. Clients are offered one-on-one case management to address issues and to help each client to set and achieve goals.

Target demographics: homeless and low-income adults and families

Geographic areas served: Seattle and King County

Programs: Banking and mailing services, hygiene facilities, overnight emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent affordable housing, eviction prevention, housing for veterans.
