Mission: Covenant House Florida serves runaway, youth experiencing homeless, and at-risk youth under 24 including teen parents and their babies. The agency opened in Ft. Lauderdale in 1985 and expanded to Orlando in 1995. Every day, we reach over 200 kids in Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando via our street outreach, safe-haven shelters, transitional housing projects, and drop-in services, making Covenant House Florida one of the largest private agencies serving runaway and youth experiencing homelessness in the State of Florida. The five principles of the agency include: 1) Immediacy - immediately meeting the basic needs of youth experiencing homelessness.
2) Sanctuary - providing a safe haven from the hardships of homelessness.
3) Value Communication -leading by example to demonstrate that caring relationships are based on love, trust, respect, and honesty.
4) Structure -providing the stability and structure necessary to build a positive future.
5) Choice - fostering confidence;

Covenant House Florida is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1983, and donations are tax-deductible.
