This actually does work. We used it to move a refrigerator and it worked well for that. The weight distribution makes the item much more manageable and maneuverable.

This is a great item, I use them every day for work and wouldn't use any other straps. These are a must have for anyone in the appliance business or moving business. I keep an extra set in my car just in case. Will always recommend this item!

My husband and I are both in our 70s and we use this to lift heavy things. We love it -- it works so well. It always takes us a while to get the straps arranged just right but that's because we don't use it very often. But for the times when we have something heavy to move, it's a godsend. We do have to remember to bend from the knees when lifting. But as long as we do that, we don't hurt our backs.

Honestly, worked like a dream. We were able to move the washer and dryer without major difficulty other than getting it down the stairs, which required some angling. I can normally just barely lift them myself but this made it pretty simple and manageable, they were much lighter than expected between two people. I've tried other kinds and the kind with a chest harness I think is the way to go.

The wide straps help distribute the pressure points on your shoulders. I saw a lot of less expensive products with thinner straps and assume the thin straps will be more of an issue as the load gets heavier. I was concerned that a single strap would make it hard to balance a washer and dryer, but two of us had no problems moving a washer and dryer from upstairs to downstairs on a tight stair case. And storing these straps take up a lot less space then a dolly/hand truck!

I am not very strong, yeah it was a little clunky and yes the old washer was still very heavy with water in it. But without these straps I would not have been able to move that washer at all. Was able to lift using back and legs, not my arms and hands.I will be buying more for Christmas presents.Smartest purchase I have ever made

We got these to move our washer and put it on the pedestal (since delivery companies won't put a new washer on an old pedestal). We are not strong people, but these were enough for us to wedge our washer into where it needed to go in our laundry room. These will certainly be handy for moving, which we hopefully will not do for some time!

I should have bought them years ago. Seriously. Very heavy duty. You basically just have to steady the load and walk. No move grip issues at all... buy them.

Great product. My brothers used this to move my tv cabinet, washer, dryer, and dressers down 3 flights of stairs. They said that it really helped and it looked like it did. I suggest watching a video on how to use this, if you've never used this before to make sure you understand how to use this item properly. Body position is very important when you're using this. One of my brothers use to work for a moving a company so he was very knowledgeable about how to use this so both people could carry the load evenly. This is a really innovative way to move things with ease.

After using these straps yesterday to move a dryer from outside the back door into my basement, I feel very confident that anybody having trouble (a) does not completely understand the instructions and is not following them; and/or (b) doesn't understand that the strap NEEDS TO BE UNDER TENSION AT ALL TIMES in order not to slip through the buckle.I'm an extremely sedentary 40-ish woman with the upper body strength of a penguin. Moving anything large, even with help, has always been a struggle for me. Using these straps, my brother and I were able to move a dryer down a flight of stairs with extreme ease. Placing the the weight on your shoulders and then using your hands to keep the item balanced, with no need to maintain a grip on an awkward edge or surface, is a complete game-changer.The one big caveat about these is that there is NOTHING that actually permanently secures the strap that goes under the object being carried. That means that if you DO NOT strictly adhere to the instructions AND understand them, you are potentially going to run into issues. If you thread the strap through the buckle wrong, it won't hold the buckle closed. If you remove tension from the buckle, the buckle won't stay closed (since it's the weight of the item itself that keeps the buckle clamped down tightly on the strap). When you're carrying an item along a flat surface, tension is likely not an issue. But when you're going up or down stairs, with the two people on different levels, it's a LOT easier to accidentally release tension... at which point the carrying strap CAN AND MIGHT start slipping through a buckle, with potentially catastrophic results. As long as you are aware of the mechanics of HOW the buckles function, though, you should be perfectly safe. So just make sure that BOTH PEOPLE have threaded the strap correctly AND understand that the strap MUST maintain tension at the buckle. If one side or the other gets slack, that's when the strap may start slipping through. The only thing I would change about this product would be to update the instructions to (a) more clearly illustrate exactly how the strap must be threaded through the buckle; and (b) explain that the buckle must remain under tension, and why.

After struggling year after year to lift our heavy house plants and place them outdoors, we finally ordered some moving straps. Saw how easy they were to use when we had a refrigerator delivered and the delivery guys moved it down the stairs with ease. So much easier now with more marital bliss.

Buy This, Save Your Back, Don't Hesitate. These straps are a life saver! We bought two sets, one got left somewhere and so we bought another, just to help ourselves if we need to move furnishings around, and so many times are asked to help a relative move. Lifting a massive fridge is literally like nothing, so incredibly easy with these lifting straps. Whoever invented this concept was a genius!

Purchased to help us move our washer and dryer. Loading and unloading to a pick up was so much easier with the straps. And the weight distribution was awesome. Highly recommend

Works as advertised and as intended, provided you assemble it properly. To all the doofuses complaining that the strap slips, you probably put it through the wrong way.
