Unlike the transfer shift boot made by the same company this does not fit perfectly. Had to do a little trimming and push/pull to get in on but 85-90 overall I'd say.I suspect others are not trying to push/pull the rubber carefully and just sending screws down through the trim rings ignoring the screw holes in the part which is tempting to save time...meaning it is very taught upon install...this would put a little more tension on the part and could cause it to rip. You'll also want to push the boot all the way down and invert the mouth (so its concave and a little sloppy looking).I suspect this is why everyone reports it ripping-just too much stress on the rubber.
