Mission: Cultural development corporation (cudc) creates opportunities for artists and arts organizations that stimulate economic development and improve the quality of the dc area. Cudc's current programs include operating the source theater, presenting visual and performing arts programs, creating an convening the visiondc arts and urban innovation summit, and providing art space design, development and management support services.

Programs: Visiondc - in april 2017, culturaldc launched the first-ever collaborative initiative with key stakeholders in the city to provide a crucial platform for artists, commercial real estate developers, city planners, policy makers, technologists, business leaders and the public to exchange ideas and create strategies and partnerships for embracing urban growth through the expansion of the creative economy. More than 600 attended, 61 artists performed/exhibited art, 29 visionaries spoke, and 50+ partner organizations contributed. Visiondc also featured the city's first "art tank" artist challenge where artists were awarded projects in real time at the summit by commercial developers and philanthropists.
