Mission: Our mission is to support and empower domestic violence and sexual violence victims and their families by providing services, reducing the tolerance of abuse, and advocating for social change.
Target demographics: women, men, children, members of the LGBTQ+ communities, families of victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 1,020 victims of domestic violence and their family members and 150 victims of sexual assault
Geographic areas served: Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Edgefield, McCormick, Saluda; South Carolina
Programs: •Crisis intervention/counseling to domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families on a 24-hour basis •Access to a 24-hour crisis hotline •Hospital accompaniment on a 24-hour basis •Access to our emergency shelter •Provide, arrange or facilitate follow-up services including: •Legal advocacy and accompaniment •Peer support •Long-term and short-term counseling •Information and referral to appropriate agencies •Support groups for survivors and (non-offending) family members •Providing free community outreach services to encourage prevention education and awareness
