These are about one square inch, which is perfect for most small cuts. I just sliced my thumb wide open (more than 1 cm in at an angle). It's the kind of cut where you can feel your heartbeat in the cut, and the blood is pumping out like an overflowing toilet. I'm not exaggerating. After putting pressure on it with toilet paper and then wrapping it with toilet paper and putting a Band-Aid over it (ghetto blood stop, usually works), I realized that blood was pouring out of the end of the Band-Aid all over the floor, seriously, big drops of blood all over the tile.So I went into our first aid kit to find these, put one on the cut after wiping the excess blood off. After a few seconds I noticed blood coming right through the little square, so I thought it wasn't working, but I waited for a minute or so for it to do its thing and sure enough the blood stopped completely. I wrapped a Band-Aid around my thumb so that it would hold this in place with light pressure. It's been about 10 minutes since, and there is no blood anywhere to be seen anywhere around or under the Band-Aid; I'm pretty sure I could just take the Band-Aid off right now and it wouldn't have any chance of bleeding.These little guys fellers magic.

While this works great for small cuts, and can stop bleeding, it didn't work when uncle Carlos cut off his three toesTrying to replace a metal roof seam damaged from the last hurricane. Aunt Bessie wasted a whole box of these trying to stem the bleeding from the severed toes, to no avail. She was about to open second box when paramedics showed up to control the bleeding with whatever they use. They did reattach two of uncle Carlos toes, the third one was never found after squirrel ran away with it. The surgeons reattached toes backwards anyway. Too bad Carlos was a grand champion flamenco is dancer prior to this fiasco. Bottom line.. get a professional roofer! And use these bandaids appropriately and they will work as intended.

Girlfriend cut her hand really bad and used these to help stop the bleeding. It did it's job

My daughter had cut her finger tip and it was bleeding through regular band aids within two seconds. I put a gauze folded in half on it and wrapped it tight with a band aid and it never even showed blood through the band aid gauze. Amazing

Bought these to put in our camping kit. We ended up using one in the first trip out this season when someone got cut by a knife they were cleaning. This worked really well to manage the bleeding. So glad I learned about hemostatic dressings in a stop the bleed course!

The cost is high for the amount, but how much that value increases knowing it's in our first aide box. Who's to say really?It's like paying a babysitter. When health and safety is on the line what is the cost?Not having used it before I hope it's as helpful as the movies depict.

Exactly works as you would want it to. Little stinging at first but definitely stops the bleeding.

I had a kitchen accident where I chopped off a corner of my finger and had to go to the emergency room where it took them over an hour to stop the bleeding using surgical-seal. Unfortunately, there was nothing to stitch up since I lobbed the corner of my finger right off. After removing the surgical-seal from the ER, I used this product to contain the wound and it worked exactly as described. It sealed my wound perfectly and stopped any future bleeding while providing the protecting layer over the wound. Comes off easily if you run under lukewarm water but otherwise is a perfect seal to your laceration.

A week after I purchased I literally cut the entire tip of my thumb off. We tried these FIRST. However, we didn't apply enough pressure and it kept bleeding through and outside of the bandage. We ended up using a quick clot gauze (which ended up being severe overkill) which are designed for stopping MAJOR arterial bleeds like a gun shot wound to the thigh. These would be excellent for children (they are small bandages) or tiny or minor cuts or pokes that require more than a band aide.

These have been a life saver! Bought these to use for my children's bloody noses. I cut them in half diagonally and roll them when they get a stubborn bloody nose that just doesn't want to stop. Work great! Easy to transportI always keep a couple in my purse, car, their sports bags, and leave a few in school.

I haven't opened the box, because it's for an emergency bag but I'm confident they will work great, I will purchase more of these!

These are awesome. I'd never seen these before and am glad I found them. They work to stop bleeding quickly.

Any cut or abrasion that is bleeding, is easily stopped with these gauze squares! The most important tool in our medicine chest as my husband and I are both on blood thinners!!!

I had a small wound that just would not stop bleeding. This stopped it right away. It took me minute to realize I could cut them into 1/2s or 1/4s in order or to fit small size wounds but once that was done it worked like a miracle. I thought I was going to have to go to the clinic to stop it from bleeding, something I have been dreading since the advent of Covid-19 but not I don't have to go! It forms a biodegradable gel over the wound that stops it from bleeding. I also covered with a flexible bandaid as it is on the inside of my palm and I type for a living. But I can say that I got much more than I bargained for! These are well worth the price!

These work great! They're super compact, painless, and easy to use. They're a must in any boo-boo kit. I do wish they had smaller sizes for those pesky little cuts that just won't quit bleeding. I often cut them in half or even quarters, but a few smaller sizes would be great.

Just what you need when you are on blood thiners, very difficult to stop bleeding, unless you have something to help your cut. Before I got these, which I should have had on hand, I cut myself, and bled for 36 hrs, lost about 1/4 cup of blood.
