These are about one square inch, which is perfect for most small cuts. I just sliced my thumb wide open (more than 1 cm in at an angle). It's the kind of cut where you can feel your heartbeat in the cut, and the blood is pumping out like an overflowing toilet. I'm not exaggerating. After putting pressure on it with toilet paper and then wrapping it with toilet paper and putting a Band-Aid over it (ghetto blood stop, usually works), I realized that blood was pouring out of the end of the Band-Aid all over the floor, seriously, big drops of blood all over the tile.So I went into our first aid kit to find these, put one on the cut after wiping the excess blood off. After a few seconds I noticed blood coming right through the little square, so I thought it wasn't working, but I waited for a minute or so for it to do its thing and sure enough the blood stopped completely. I wrapped a Band-Aid around my thumb so that it would hold this in place with light pressure. It's been about 10 minutes since, and there is no blood anywhere to be seen anywhere around or under the Band-Aid; I'm pretty sure I could just take the Band-Aid off right now and it wouldn't have any chance of bleeding. These little guys fellers magic.
