Works exactly as it should. Rather sturdy and no general issues with overall product. My company has 2 badges and one will not swipe with another badge near it. When I had both in one of these, I needed to open the holder and remove a badge to swipe. Consistent opening and closing has split the side of the badge holder, but not a fault for the product as it wasn't made to do that.

I am a letter carrier and my badge takes a beating every day. This ID holder had good tension, I am using my badge which came in a hard plastic case that I slipped into their clear holder and I also have a carabiner on it too and it says up. One day, I did not have pockets and had to attach my truck key to it intermittently---that was the weight deal braker because it kept getting pulled down. But that was an extreme case, and it went back to normal after that. So it's a great product and I am glad I have 2 for a back-up.

I wouldn't put anything heavy on there for durability reasons, but for quick keycard access, these have proven very handy for me and my team at the lodge where we work.

Bought these after the one I previously owned (not this brand) broke in less than a month. So far after about 5 months, it is holding up great! Even if this one does break down the road, there's a second one that comes with it and I can rely on that one. Having the second one is instantly worth the cost, which still is not too much!
