In my quest to create plaster art, I turned to the Dap 10308 4-Pound Interior Plaster of Paris to fulfill my creative vision. As a budding plaster artist, I was eager to experiment with this product. In this review, I will share my experiences with the Dap Plaster of Paris, highlighting its pros and cons.Pros:Easy mixing:One of the standout features of the Dap 10308 Plaster of Paris is its ease of mixing. The process was straightforward, and the plaster readily combined with water to create a workable mixture. This simplicity in mixing made it accessible for beginners like me.Quick drying:This plaster dried relatively quickly, which was advantageous for my art projects. The fast drying time allowed me to complete my creations without unnecessary delays, enhancing the efficiency of my artistic endeavors.Cons:As for drawbacks or cons, I did encounter some minor issues during my usage:Clumps in the mixture:While the mixing process was generally easy, I did notice the occasional formation of clumps in the mixture. These clumps required some additional effort to break apart and ensure a smooth consistency. Although not a significant issue, it did add a minor step to the preparation process. In conclusion, the Dap 10308 4-Pound Interior Plaster of Paris proved to be a valuable tool for my plaster art projects. Its ease of mixing and quick drying time contributed to the overall success of my creations. While minor clumping was observed during mixing, it did not significantly hinder the product's performance. Overall, it is a reliable choice for artists and crafters seeking a versatile plaster medium.

I am new to using plaster of Paris, but I used this to make homemade chalk paint with Behr interior latex paint made up in a Benjamin Moore color and it turned out perfect! Definitely cheaper and nice to be able to choose any color I wanted. I don't use chalk paint all that often, but I would definitely opt to do this again. I was chalk painting old RV furniture rather than re-covering it and it turned out so good! The key was to water the chalk paint recipe down, spray the furniture with water and use a sanding block to work it in the fabric and then after it dried in between coats. It took three coats and then a seal with a carnauba wax since it is used in an RV and will experience temp fluctuations. It feels leathery when done. There are so many recipes for chalk paint out there and this was a cost effective way to update the '90s floral couches.

Wonderful product. I've used plaster of Paris B4 and this item works great as well. Easy to mix and apply and dries in seconds and firmly too.

I'm not a professional plasterer but this product was hard for me to work with. It goes from runny to solid in a matter of minutes. It's very hard to get the right consistency and once you do you have seconds to use it before it goes dry. Once it dries you cannot add more water to thin it out at all. Lots of mixing and frustration.

I failed to read the entire packaging but no big deal, just added some water and was able to mix up a small amount for around the bottom of the toilet bowl and it worked perfectly. Im sure this will last longer then if I purchase the mixed one.

I'm not trying to mess up the reviews since this is wall plaster but if you have seen the trendy TikTok plaster art, this is not for that. Get the premixed kind that changes color as it dries. It will fall of the canvas if you try this (yes I mixed it properly and tried it several times). Probably good for wall plaster though idk!

This product was pretty easy to use. It worked well for making a diecast of my face for special effects makeup. It dries fairly quickly so keep that in mind and only mix an amount you can work with quickly. It worked well for me because I just had to pour it into a mold and let it dry. Will purchase again for sure.

Dap products always meet or exceed my requirements. I restore antique church statuary and architectural strength plaster mixed with sawdust and glue is my go-to for strength, detail and workability. It takes paint well and adheres to even two hundred year old pieces beautifully.
