First and foremost... understand that the sound emanates from the surface on which the exciter is mounted. per the old adage... horses for courses... your satisfaction will depend on a number of things. I have my exciters mounted on the exterior wall of a shower enclosure. I didn't want to blast podcasts in the morning in the bathroom, and wanted speakers in the shower. This is the perfect solution.

Works well. Bit of soldering needed to attach wires and audio plug, but that was easy.

I bought 7 of these for a complete surround sound system. Yes, i got the idea from Tech Ingredients on YouTube! I was initially not even remotely happy with them. I tried using them with the 24 x 24 foam panels you can get from the big box stores. The sound was really hollow. Even paired with a good quality subwoofer, there were a lot of frequencies missing. However, i realized two things - first, it was partly my fault for how i was mounting them. And second, they work way better with the acoustic ceiling tiles. In the picture, you can see the front five speakers - mains, center channel, and the height speakers for atmos. I also have another pair of them for the rear surround, mounted on the ceiling above the couch that viewers will be using. Everything sounds amazing, given the price. I love the way they look, and although the sound is not quite perfect, it's plenty good for my setup as a second media room.I bought these things on sale, paying $20 something for each. The ceiling tiles are $20 for a set of three. I made some mounts out of plywood with a little accent strip of scrap purpleheart. The tiles are hanging on some cheap black monofilament. So the entire 7 speaker setup was only about $200 dollars. Maybe $250 if you include the speaker wire and the paint i used. This was a very satisfying project, and was absurdly easy. The speakers sound good, and really fill the room with nondirectional sound. The frequency response is not perfect, but there are lots of things you can do to improve that - specifically by adding additional panels of different sizes and shapes down the road.If you want a weekend project to make some great conversation starting speakers that sound pretty great, buy these right away. I don't think you will regret it.

I bought two of these exciters after doing some research on YouTube about DML panels. I put each of them on a 2' x 2' x 1 panel of foam board for my DML panels and also ran a sub, all powered by a Fosi Audio amp. The sound is pretty amazing.

I ran two of these in series from my center channel surround sound speaker and mounted them on the back of my oled (thin) tv. Now the voices eminate from the tv itself. No more sound parallax error from voices. Much improved! In case you're wondering, I'm using a sony atmos amp and 7 MK speakers with the center mounted behind the tv. These fit right in.

I have to say I'm not normally caught off guard but this little thing amazes me. I wired it to amp then added audio, at first it wasn't attached to anything but since I was close to a trash can I held it against it.i honestly couldn't believe the difference in both the clarity and quality of this exciter. Also at such a great price.

I saw that video Best Speakers in the World and others. I had to try them once I saw the price. They're surprisingly nice. Keep in mind the 2/5 and 3/5 rule.A little difficult to set up with speaker cable, mine kept coming apart without soldering, so maybe use a Female Spade Wire Connector. Insulated or whatever, it makes it a lot easier but costs a little more and you have to crimp the ends.My biggest complaint was that the sticky part on the back was really only good for one use from my experience. Can't get it back on the original source without using some tape.Using the boards recommended from the videos, these are conversation starters and just fun to show off.

The only drawback is that there is no mounting holes on the devices. However, there's double sided tape that is extremely sticky; so be careful to mount recklessly. The shaker for its compact size packs quite a solid punch. These paired with subwoofers gives you the emersion you're looking for.

These are ok for background music, but I would not recommend them for hi fi. The treble is really short on the 25 and 32mm exciters; they start rolling off at 5k hz, which makes them sound more like an am radio. I suppose many bought these because of the Tech channel on YouTube, the video called The World's Best Speakers. Listen to that video again and you will hear the short treble.

All the surfaces these can vibrate at at the audio frequencies. Though XPS and acoustic ceiling tiles hit the audio sweet spots.
