Follow the molding instructions. I bought these to replace electronic earmuffs. Reason being, I do not like the earmuffs pressing against the frame of my shooting glasses into my temples. So bought these to fix that. I will say suppression wise. They are not as effect as traditional muffs electronic or not. If you are extremely concerned with hearing loss maybe use traditional muffs. Conversations no problem, didnt have a problem communicating off or on range with these in. From a comfort standpoint much more enjoyable shooting experience not having the frames pressing into my temples. Inner ear comfort does take some getting use too as you are in fact pushing the dB filter into your ear canal. So if you find earbuds uncomfortable these are not for you.

Theses are well worth buying. I'm going to use these for shooting my 12 ga shotgun hunting geese and ducks. They are very comfortable. Yes I highly recommend them.

I am a waterfowl hunter and need ear protection from my shotgun and others around me in the blind. I also am wearing them for many hours at a time multiple times a week. I have tried many brands including electronic pieces and I really like these. They are not bulky, don't need to charge or have wires, are comfortable and they fit perfectly in my ear after molding them. The process to mold them was super simple and the fit and protection are fantastic. The only downside is that I cannot hear everything I want to hear like birds overhead or my blind partner speaking softly but a small price to pay to retain my hearing

I sometimes need to hear hits on steel targets at 1000yds while protecting my ears. In a perfect world I'd run some 32db foam ear plugs, but then I can't hear anything.So I've tried various active over-ear protection which let me hear hits, but are generally only 24-26db protection- and that's not enough when shooting with a brake IMHO. Since db is logarithmic, every 3db is doubling, so 26db is about 4x louder than 32db.The advantage of these Decibulls is that they work with my active over-ear protection. The over-ear protection doesn't protect enough to prevent the shock wave from the gun causing the Decibulls from closing the valve and protecting my ears and at the same time, when there is no shooting I can hear almost like I'm not wearing the Decibulls at all.The result is I can shoot long range and hear my hits or go to the local 100yd range and have no problems talking to my buddies or hearing the RSO commands.

I was a little skeptical at first when purchasing these. I didn't want over ear electronic ones so it wouldn't get in the way of my camo face masks or wearing a hat in cold weather while hunting. The ambient noise while wearing is ok. Obviously you have something in your ear so its going to restrict volume some. Id compare the noise limitation to having really cheap ear plugs or some water in your ear. When you shoot though, it sounds like you have high quality in ear protection. I shoot a 30-06 and didn't have any issue. I was impressed. I had taken a shoot later on without them and I can tell you, I don't recommend. My ears were ringing. The key is to take your time on the molding part to make sure you completely seal around your ear. It's nice that if you don't get it perfect the first time you simply put it back in the hot water and try again.

I never leave reviews but am stunned. They dampen noise like normal earplugs but then when I started banging pots and pans together I barely heard it (um, my wife and kids definitely did..)Super cool!

I use these when riding my motorcycle and do they work great. Cuts wind noise down to where my ears do not ring after riding. Also use them when using lawnmower, weed eater, and when working with pneumatic tools. These are my second pair (don't leave them in pockets then wash dry them).

They arrived quickly. The instructions were easy to follow. I didn't get the right fit the first time so I followed the directions and to reshape and they fit perfectly. Outstanding product for a manufacturing environment with lots of loud banging noises.

I wasn't sure about these, but I bought them since my friend had a pair. They really do work! They block the sounds very well (make sure they are pushed in all the way) and they mold into your ear very well after you boil them. So much better than having bulky earmuffs on!

Ya, followed directions and still screwed up the molding process as it got stuck at the bottom of the pan. Had to completely remold. Company should allow use to buy pieces.

They were easy to mold. Fit great after molding. Would recommend it

I liked the fact that they were easy to mold to my ears. They preform perfectly while I'm shooting sporting clays.

I like that they can block out a lot of noise, compared to other ear plugs! I also like how you can shape them to fit in your ears properly! Thanks, Rachel

Finally used these at an outdoor range and they work Awesome. I could hear my friend talking without having to take them off and had no ringing in the ears after we were done shooting for the day.

Watched a few videos explaining the percussive filter voodoo and wasn't totally convinced however I bought them anyway figuring I could double up with an over the ear set if they didn't work well.I first tested them at an indoor range firing a 5.56. It was a pretty crowded day at the range and there was another rifle in the stall immediately next to mine with an obnoxious brake equipped. These performed phenomenally. It's deceptive how well they're working because you can hear almost normally while they're in however as soon as gunfire commences the filter voodoo kicks in and protects your.After that indoor range session I went to a rifle training course over the weekend - 2 days, 8 hours, drills half the first day and all day the second. Personally fired over 300 rounds. Once again I became skeptical because with that volume of fire, the the shots almost sound normal, like you're hearing them without protection. I'm super protective of my hearing so scheduled a hearing test the week after class. Doc comes back and says my hearing is perfect... I guess they worked after all.I can honestly recommend these as perhaps the best option for hearing protection. You don't have to worry about charging them or your stock knocking your over the ear set off. They actually have a higher NRR than most over the ear sets if you're using the foam tips.

Really good product. Easy instructions. Great noise reduction around the house whilst you can still hear people. On the gun range i found them as advertised. A really good product
