Have bought several of these in the last 4 years for walking my dogo argentino (110 lbs of pure lean muscle) and none have broken nor have the clasps stretched from pulling. He has chewed 2 in half by biting through the leather but leash and clasp has never broken under force including by dragging me behind him for a distance while attempting to give chase to random animals running out from under vehicles while walking.

This is a very good quality lead. Strong yet supple leather, good brass hardware. Feels much better in the hand than any nylon or synthetic leash. If you clean and moisturizer it once in a while ( I use mink oil or saddle soap) it will last a lifetime. A dog's at least.
