Mission: To create unique ways to bring the community together, identify, and support projects designed to prevent child abuse, trafficking, and child pornography while stopping those who hurt them.
Results: With the help of caring individuals and companies, Defenders For Children donated six Electronic Detection K9s to law enforcement agencies dealing with high levels of child abuse, trafficking, and child pornography. We are currently taking the program to other States. The Electronic Detection K9s assist law enforcement by locating hidden microdevices during a search. These devices hold images and videos of children being hurt. These devices can be the only evidence to help lock up sex offenders, child pornographers, and traffickers. Due to the size of the small devices, they are easily missed by law enforcement. One missed device can hold evidence to help rescue children and lock up a guilty offender. Direct beneficiaries per year: 1000's of children and teens. With the help of the public we placed multiple Electronic Detection K9s with different law enforcement agencies.
Geographic areas served: Grass roots level in Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness
Programs: We create unique projects that engage the public and step up and help fight against child abuse and trafficking. We raise funds to donate the amazing and sweet Electronic Detection K9s in many different communities that deal with high levels of child abuse, trafficking, and child pornography. The K9s are all labs that are trained to assist in law enforcement searches to make sure there is no electronic evidence left behind. Example: hidden cameras, micro sd cards, phones, computers, and more. The located evidence can lead to the arrest of sex offenders, traffickers, and child pornographers. The evidence can also lead to living victims.
