I was working on a BMW F800s motorcycle that had been sitting since 2015. Gasoline in the tank was beyond bad and was probably the worst smelling gas I had ever taken a whiff of. Everything metal inside the tank had corrosion from moisture absorbed by the ethanol in the gas. The fuel pump was locked right up and needed replacing. You cannot purchase just the pump from BMW, you have to purchase the whole assembly to the tune of $500. I was not going to spend that kind of money on a 16y/o motorcycle. So, I purchased the pump and along with other items that needed replacing got the bike running again. All in all I ended up putting $170 into the fuel pump assembly, $65 of that being the pump itself. Saved myself 70 over paying BMW it's exorbitant fee.
