I LOVE these Docs!! They are actually comfortable (just like some of my older ones), the brass grommets add a bit of extra style, and they are so supportive. I know they say to buy the next size up if you're a half size, but I found going a size down was MUCH more comfortable. Most of the time, it's about the socks, so choose wisely. They are the classic Doc Martens in style, fit, and comfort! I pretty much live in them now!

Everyone says to size down, I would say size down MAYBE 1/2 size, but definitely not a full size. I'm an 8 and I ordered a 7 and it's boarder line too small. I think once it breaks in it'll be a bit more comfy but I love this boot

I got my true size. I'm glad I didn't size down like other reviewers suggested. I'm a larger 8, no 7.5 ever work and sometimes 8.5 works. I'm wearing thick socks. I hope that helps you make your decision.The sole is amazing. I have terrible foot pain and can only wear Crocs and other boxy toe flats. I feel zero pain so that is worth everything to me.The leather and construction feels so solid. This is a nice heavy boot. I love solid shoes like this.I would prefer to tie the shoe at the ankle and use hooks the rest of the way up. It's faster. I'll be slightly annoyed having to re-lace the ties every time so I can knot the boot at the ankle. But that's ok.I give these 11/10 stars. I'll buy them in brown too if it ever comes available.

The shoes are very comfortable and the durability is A. I have worn them to multiple festivals and raves. Also very easy to clean.

About sizing: since I knew my European size I chose the right pair. I feel like the reviews about going a size down are for those who go with the US sizing. My US size is 8.5, I got these boots in 8 and they fit like what boots are supposed to fit, which is extra room for thick socks. I would say the best way of choosing your size is to go with the “heel to toe” number in sizing chart. It's my first time with this brand and I'm a huge fan!

A boot you can dress up or down, the boots are slightly heavy but I would say typically for this particular brand. Overall adorable boot!

Love these boots! I had my eye on them for 2 years, but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. These are real Dr Martins.. heavy and require a bit of breaking in. With that said, I read so many reviews that said they run big- they do. I am a 7.5-8 (mostly 8 in heels as my feet are not narrow- slightly wide) I got a size 7 and they fit perfect!

I've heard this brand is fantastic and is made to last but never bought any as they were so expensive. When I finally broke and bought this pair I see nothing Wrong with them like i was hoping to! The price is high but to be perfectly honest, of you want a boot that's made to last, is comfortable, and looks good with so many different styles then this is thw boot you want.

I wear a size 8 normally and ordered and 8 and they are perfect! I also got the break in socks to wear for a while. These shoes always last forever so they are totally worth the cost!

Before ordering I checked out all the sizing reviews, i normally wear an 8. Most of the reviews were recommending order up. Since normally I wear an 8, I felt confident to just order my normal size. BIG mistake, they were Huge. I had to exchange them for a 7, what a difference. Really nice boot, more feminine style with a almond toe instead of round.I think the only con is how heavy they are, but seem well made.

Got these on a sale but honestly I would buy these full price. I wear size 8.5 and I read these ran a little big. I order the size 8 and I have so much room. The shoes are heavy but I noticed when I wear regular socks it's a little difficult to walk. However when I wear wool socks they fit more comfortable and the weight of the shoes is unnoticed. Plus I get extra height with them so get them .
