Lays down smoothly and cleans up relatively easy. I like that the product can also be applied over the existing product. This speeds up the process of maintaining your RV roof.

I used this to seal the edges or 2 flexible solar panels that I mounted on top of my Arctic Fox camping trailer. The sealant flowed easily in the 85 degree weather and spread well.I have used this sealant before on a different RV that I wanted to replace the roof vents on. The only thing one needs to remember is to remove all of the old sealant before applying the new sealant. This is the stuff that most major RV manufacturers use in the construction of new RV's so I don't believe that there is a better product available.

I bought this for normal preventative maintenance on the RV. Ours is gray with black trim so clear was the best option. I was able to do every window, the door and all connections, speakers, etc. I even did the sinks inside. I still have some left over. It went on easy and smoothed well. It is not a flat clear, however. It goes on shiny and will have a slight shine when light hits it.

After reading Pro Con reviews, I decided to try it. Regarding person whose tube busted, I thin k someone sold you a produst thats been sitting for years?? As for person who cut tip off at 1/4, of course you will have a mess. If someone has a gap that it will take a 1/4 bead to fill, you have other major non fitting component issues. Of all the caulks, adhesives and sealants I've used for decades, I found a lot of issues come from people using cheap metal $3-$9 guns. They are inferior and do not lay down a nice even bead. Go to Home Depot and invest in a $16.00 ETS-2000 yellow no drip gun. It functions smooth and easy and lays down an nice even bead. As for this Dicor product, I found it to lay smooth and did not drip and was not thick and awkward. It should be noted I used it on my vertical and horiztonal sides of my windows and storage compartments. Personally I would only use self-leveling on a roof seal job. I couldn't rate the longetivity of this sealant of course because i just put it on. A suggestion, do not rush a seal job. Take your time and remove ALL old cracked sealant. Clean area thorughly w/alcohol. Then when ready to seal just do a few windows or compartments at a time. If trying to complete entire job all at once you will find it tiring and aggravationg and the end result will be insufficiently sealed windows and compartments. GOOD LUCK!!

Dicor lap sealant is easy to apply, provides a good seal and offers protection from the elements. I would definitely recommend, along with many other Dicor products.
