Mission: Dignity Matters is a non-profit organization that collects, purchase and supplies menstrual care underwear and bras to women and girls who are homeless or otherwise in need, in order to help them stay healthy, regain self-confidence, and live with basic dignity. We always welcome like-minded people at Dignity Matters and over the last three years we built a group of 200+ volunteers who help us in carrying our mission. Results: Dignity Matters serves over 14,000 women in need EVERY MONTH and assists them with an annual supply of menstrual care, bras and underwear. So far, in 2022 Dignity Matters distributed over 1.5 million free menstrual care products, pairs of underwear and bras to local women in Massachusetts. Dignity Matters also leads the advocacy effort to pass a bill at State House to provide free menstrual care at all schools, prisons and shelters in Mass.

Target demographics: women and girls who are homeless or living in a fianacial hardship

Direct beneficiaries per year: tens of thousands of women across 170 homeless shelters, food pantries, public schools, domestic violence programs and after-school programs for homeless girls in Massachusetts
