Our dogs think remotes are chew toysif we leave them on the couch they will crunch them up so I buy these things in bulk to have spares on hand. This is a direct replacement and works out of the box for DirecTV. It's pretty easy to set up controls for the TV as well. It takes a few minutes to set up for the TV and for RF instead of the default line of sight IR operation.

Our DTV remote got a little bit chewed up by the new pup! This remote is a perfect replacement! It was super easy to setup with the DTV receiver and our sound system. Very happy!!!

Received fast delivery at a reasonable price of a replacement for a 5 year old DirecTV remote that finally gave up the ghost after extensive overuse. This replacement was easy to program to control the receiver, TV, and sound system - back in operation after a matter of minutes. Would definitely buy again when the other remotes die from overuse....
