Bought this when my old remote stopped working even after changing batteries. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to program it ( I'm in my seventies) but the directions were as easy as can be. I simply followed each step and to my pleasant surprise the new remote started working.Don't hesitate to buy this.

The DirecTV remotes are simple, unlike some remote controls. It has all the features you need and none of the ones you don't.It was a good price and it arrived in a timely manner. When the dog chews your old one, speed is of the essence.

I am not a techie type person and I'm pretty old BUT even I could set up this remote control. The original remote started to get glitchy and only a few numbers would actually work. We got tired of entering, for example, channel 222 to try to get to 230. This remote worked great, came with batteries and easy to set-up instructions!
