Mission: Founded in 1970, Discovery Eye Foundation (DEF) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to finding treatments and cures to sight-threatening eye diseases. The mission of The Discovery Eye Foundation supports research, education and advocacy related to sight-threatening eye diseases and their treatments, improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
DEF has worked to provide the public with up-to-the-minute, information on the research in a variety of formats including websites, free publications, regular newsletters and social media.
