I got it for my son. He likes it alot.

1. 'Paint scratches' is actually a 2nd layer of white paint for a 'battle worn' feel2. It's not molded perfectly symmetrical, and you can take a guess that Master Chief's helmet in-game got dinged in combat (if you're expecting perfection with no scratches, you've clearly never played Halo)3. If the LEDs look mangled, don't be afraid to peel back on the foam interior to push the lights back in place4. There may be some 'glue' excess around the top of the visor, you'll still have the lower half of the top visor half and the entire bottom visor half, since the part that curves several times WILL be blurry, you can see out of the rest of it5. 'iT DoEsN't FiT sO It'S nOt WoRtH iT '. You KNOW you can use other materials to make it FIT, right'? (Duct tape and old packaging foam made perfect sized cheek pads to fit on the helmets interior)6. Saw other comments say that it's not so practical, if you're careful, you can still make lunch while wearing this7. Bonus perk of the helmet, if you take it to any hardware store that has a paint department and have them make a color to match it, you'll have a batch of 'Master Chief Green' at your disposal

I purchased this helmet to customize into a prop for a short film project. I'll be re-painting and adding greebles to change it for my sci-fi movie.The price was great -- I've seen this run a lot more expensive. The main disadvantage with this piece is that it is very lightweight, so it tends to slide around on your head a bunch. I need to put some weight into the bottom to keep it steady on my head. Other options would be to stuff padding into the helmet to have it hold to your head more.The side lights work great and are a nice touch. If you're looking to cosplay Halo's Master Chief, this is a good helmet, provided you can secure it to your head.For my film, I was also looking for a translucent visor so that my eyes will show through in the film -- this visor is like mirrored sunglasses, so with regular lighting you can't see the wearer's face. However, by placing lights into the helmet I was able to get my face illuminated to show through.

Got this for my Master Chief costume. I'm going to need to insert foam in the helmet so it doesn't swivel around on my head but other than that, the helmet is sick. I'm a chick so it fits perfectly on my head, but my husband's chin/beard sticks out on the bottom so beware of that if you have a large head

Very nice quality, and it definitely has some weight to it. The fit is loose, so Im buying foam inserts for a tactical helmet to hopefully help with the fitment. My son loves it.

When I got this helmet, it came basically the same as the image. It is a very sturdy helmet, but it is a little heavy to wear on your head. Overall, I like this product.
