These have been very good. They are fairly sturdy. Not quite as sturdy as others we have used but they work well. They microwave ok. They do not leak easily. The edges are not as rigid as others otherwise they would be a 5. But we like them. Made in USA!

I don't have a full sized dishwasher and have five people in my house- I get tired of washing dishes by hand, and anything to help cut the load down makes a difference. I really like the idea of using unbleached recycled and recyclable paper bowls, and these have met my expectations fairly well.Like the Dixie ecosmart paper plates, these bowls have a light waxy coating on them that repels liquids. What that coating is I have no clue, but judging by the feel and sheen I want to say that it's paraffin. The coating also keeps melted cheese from sticking to the inside of the bowls, and even cheese-heavy scrambled eggs slide right off of these.These bowls are on the flimsier side, so if eating soup or cereal from them it's best to keep it on a table. These bowls will fold onto themselves when lifted while holding liquids or otherwise heavy foods, so care must be exercised.However these bowls do not leak for me with cereal, and my whole family has been using them frequently for weeks. I have not had one incident where the bowls fail on their own.These bowls are perfectly fine for fried/oven fried foods, salads, dry snacks, and other such purposes.Though these are not optimal for an all-purpose disposable bowl, they are good for light duty foods, and make cleanup much easier.
