Mission: Since 1980, the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) has provided counseling and advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and their children. DVCC is the only state-certified agency recognized by the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) serving the communities of Norwalk, Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Weston and Wilton.

Programs: Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) is here to support individuals on their journey to safety. DVCC advocates for individuals who are experiencing abuse in personal relationships. Our multiple services and professional staff help those experiencing any level of domestic violence and assist them in building a safer environment for the well-being of themselves and their families. All direct services are free and confidential and all services offered are multicultural/multilingual. DVCC has three major program areas: victim services, awareness-raising, and prevention education and training. DVCC’s victim services include crisis intervention through our 24-hour hotline, the Lethality Assessment Program, and our two safe houses found in Norwalk and Stamford. We offer individual and group counseling for adults and children, as well as legal, financial, and housing advocacy. All services are free, confidential, multicultural and multilingual. DVCC raises awareness through a wide variety of community-based events. The goal of these programs is to inform the community about DVCC’s free and confidential services and to educate the public about domestic violence dynamics. DVCC offers prevention education and training programs for children, adults, and community professionals.
