Time our irons are the next quality pue irons you can purchase. My only thing was I didn't realize the double pue irons I bought had ridges on the inside making it very difficult to make certain foods.

Not sure what happened is normal but brand new, never used, immediately after I seasoned it, it looks like the Teflon coating came off on one side of my double pie iron. Its the one on the left in the picture with the 2 of them. Hoping the seller sees this advises me on what happened, as this is the first time I've seen this!

Not a double but extra wide. After taking the time to season it, it still chared. Go for the smaller one.

Can't fit 2 sandwiches in it, which is the whole point of getting a double.

I thought this would be two separate pies, but it's just one large one, so you can't make two sandwiches/pizzas/whatever at once.

Metal head where the sandwiches go is made of solid heavy iron. The shaft is cheap, thin and weak and bends under the weight. I have to lie it on a rock because it cannot support the weight of the heavy iron head. It's inevitable that it will bend beyond use or break entirely in a short time. Same issue with the double burger maker Rome sells.

No better made pie iron than Rome. These seal up better than the cheap pie irons cant beat the quality. I like that the rods are pinned in instead of screwed in. The screwed in models keep coming loose, not an issue, but annoying.

Brings back memories as a kid - but since it is a 34;double34; it would have been nice to have a center rib to close the pie shells - so you can make 2 at one time - that was our hope. We have to pinch the break or pie shell to have it stay closed - then it becomes messy. But still works as expected.

This is supposed to pre seasoned, but it stuck the first use. Had to season it myself.
