I change mine several times in the season. Always can be counted on to block the smoke. Would buy again if needed. Purchased another set to change one out.

My Cougar fireplace vacuum developed very poor suction after 8 years of use. I noticed that even after emptying the bucket and cleaning (as best as possible) the two filters, that suction dropped off with the bin only 1/2 full.Before investing in a new vacuum, I decided to replace the original filters with these replacements, and WOW, my vacuum suction was completely restored. After two weeks of use, it still has great suction, and I decided to order a backup set of filters to install as soon as my suction begins to wane.

The filters are fine. I just wish there were other choices since these are very expensive. If you have this type of ash vac, these will work fine.
