Haven't opened or used garlic powder yet. Guessing it will be fine. I use a lot of garlic and the powder is it convenient to have on hand.

Smells tastes strong. We love garlic, so this is perfect for us.The lid doesn't screw on far enough to make it easy to sprinkle on food. When you hold the jar with the handles (indented spots for your hands), it wants to pour from both sides of the lid...the side for sprinkling the side for dipping a spoon into the jar.You have to search HARD to see which side of the lid sprinkles. It's not easy to see on the black lid. And, it's hard to open the tops unless you have strong, fairly-long fingernails to force it open.So, the jar gets 2 stars the garlic gets 10 stars.
