I think it was very costly for a small plastic part, but it does slip in with a spring very easily.

So happy I found this piece for my Dyson. A local vacuum repair shop told me I needed to replace the entire hose at a cost of $40. I was fortunate I saved the spring because one is not included. Was a bit finicky to install as I was worried that the tight fit could snap the edges, but I eventually got it installed within five minutes.

Make sure you order the spring. Ridiculous that they aren't sold together IMO.

This part fixed my Dyson Animal back to new, but I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get it! Price is crazy also for such a little piece of molded plastic. Hope it lasts another 8 yrs!

Part was way cheaper than getting a new stick from Dyson. Just pop on new button and vac is fixed.
