Excellent suction. Does very well with human and dog hair. The only problem is how quickly it gets VERY HOT. After only 15 minutes, I have to let it cool.

The handle is so short (and I'm only 5'4"), that I have bend my neck down clot see where I'm pushing it. It's causing bad neck strain and back pain.

We had ours only 2 years and already the attachment and canister are broken. My wife is tiny so there is no way it was from abuse.

This vacuum right off the bat was amazing. It was gross how much came up from our carpet after using our more light duty vacuum. It worked fantastic until it suddenly shorted out one day and from then on would no longer start. Instead, when we plugged it in and turned on the switch it blew the breaker. My husband is an electrical engineer and looked at the vacuum and our breaker box. We tried outlets that had no other electronic devices on them, and still every time the vacuum blew the breaker and wouldn't turn on. It smelled of burning electrical wires. So we got rid of it asap.

You would think too much suction would be a good thing, but I'm elderly and can barely move it, it's just too hard to move ,

I really love Dyson vacuum cleaners. When my last one broke after YEARS of regular use, we tried another brand. I ended up giving it to my daughter ordered another Dyson. My ONLY issue, not a big one by any means, is the purple pet vacuum does NOT seem as substantial as my 1st one (the yellowish-orange one). With the 1st one there was a foot pedal to step on when lowering the handle, but with the purple one, you just push the handle down go. Seems like something that could very easily wear out quite quickly, but maybe I'm worrying too much. Anyway, I'll gladly stick with my Dyson!

This is a great vacuum and strong suction . I wish there was a setting for the suction . I have a ruggable rug and the vacuum sucks it up it's so strong! Very easy to empty and move around. The hose is a little awkward to use. I like the couch attachment that's a plus! I would recommend this if you have pets for sure !

I wanted to love this vacuum. But I really don't. Let's start off with what I do like. It does seem to clean well. But not really over all impressed with the suction.That's about it. The design of this vacuum baffles me. The hose that reaches is very odd design and unless you're reaching completely straight the insert of the hose will pinch and block suction. Second, it took me about 30 minutes to figure out how the vacuum switches from the hose to the floor suction. It's supposed to be one easy motion that makes the switch. This motion worked for me probly a couple times and now have to manually make the switch, which isn't great because the vacuum is heavy, to do what carpets we have in the house.Bottom line you would probably be better off spending a quarter of the price for a vacuum with the same suction power but better design

We have 5 so we need a powerful machine. The Dyson animal did a great job !!

Best investment I have made.It makes my old carpeting look almost new

The one thing that it needs is a light on it so you can see better when vacuuming in a darker house.

This is my second Dyson in 15 yrs. I always go for the corded type. This last one is a bit heavy but still love it. Suction is awesome and love how flexibility of the head. Easy cleaning.

I really enjoy it and the only really complaint I have is that when you take the hose out to reach things it pinches and loses some of the suction power. I might be doing something wrong but I hope I'm smarter than the tool

This machine, while having ways to clean the filters, unlike my first Dyson, which will make it work better longer does not seem to be as sturdy. I personally could stand a little more weight for a more solid machine. It of course sucks like a Dyson. That is good.
