I used my Dyson 7 times after putting this new piece in and it dries out yet again... I mean my Dyson is 7years old so it's time for an upgrade but still... sad

I prefer to do my own maintenance work whenever possible. Nowadays that means searching the net for a video solution detailing how to fix my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Ok, I found a solution on the net and proceeded to disassemble the entire vac as shown in the video. After a complete tear down I came to realize that the issue was the on/off switch.... Ouch. So I ordered this item as a replacement and it easily resolved my problem. Honestly, to send a 20 year old vacuum to a repair shop, if you can find one, was unrealistically expensive and NOT an option for me any way.This item solved my problem and honestly I should have got out my DVM and checked the switch FIRST instead of tearing the whole vacuum apart... I would HIGHLY recommend this switch for anyone needing an inexpensive (OEM) product that takes minutes to install, is reasonably priced and works !!

When our vac decided to quit, we were in a situation because we couldn't afford to buy a new one. We took a chance on buying a switch and guess what ? We were extremely happy when it arrived, and was the exact part we needed. We're back to vac'ing again

Have had the Dyson D33 about 6 years .... maybe more ..... before switch went out. Remove a few screws, take switch out and hook in replacement before screwing it all back together. So cheap and easy .... should keep this vaccuum going another 6 years.

Exact fit/replacement for Dyson o.e. Unfortunately Dyson chose a light duty, insufficient amp switch in their design. So this one is too.NOT within the control of the seller, they can only supply what Dyson chose to use.Likewise, my rating for ease of installation and value for the money are on Dyson for their poor engineering.I expect to have to replace theses switches on a regular basis because they are not suited for any long term service.

I've been repairing my own Dyson for a while now. Recently the motorized brush stopped spinning and upon realizing it was just a faulty switch, replacing it with this guy did the trick. Functioned as expected, specs were all correct. Slid right in and my Dyson works like a dream again.

My Dyson DC 65 Animal Control vacuum worked perfectly until I noticed it sometimes took 3 or 4 presses of the switch to turn it on. This became extremely annoying. I immediately thought of possibly a bad switch so I removed it and Googled the part number and found this.Replacing the switch was very simple. Once I swapped out the switch my Dyson now works like it should, one press of the button and it turns on. Simple replacement of an inexpensive part. If you are experiencing similar issues with a Dyson DC 65 this switch will solve the problem.
