This is the missing piece to the Dyson hand held cordless. The horizontal turbine attachment is pretty much useless on most carpeting due to hair tangling probability and poor suction power. This is the solution to all that and I should have went with it years ago. I can actually notice the difference as I'm vacuuming the carpet on my stairs, and it's just as effective on the floors. A must have.. for pet owners especially. Remarkable. Really.

Well, it worked, meh. This attachment does not have a motor. Do not press on it, it will stop working. I bought this because I have 2 large dogs, cats and birds and vaccuum my furniture and bed, etc. often. I did ok on the bird seed, but did not do well on anything else. It's a shame. I was really hoping it would work. Also, no hair got tangled, which is great but, fluff did get attached to the nubbs. However it was easy to clean.

I used it to get pet hair off sofa. It worked. I had to try manipulate a little in the crevices.

My husband and I both have long hair and always had terrible trouble with the rotating brush on the original head that came with our Dyson DC23. We constantly had to remove the hair but a few strands must've spun into the mechanism on the side where it turns because even after removing hair from the brush, it didn't turn. This new head is perfection. No more problems with hair. We were surprised by how small the head it, length wise, about half the size of the original head, but we have a small apartment so it's not big deal.

I wanted this exclusively for my carpeted stairs. It works very well so far. I am pleased that it raises the carpet pile which is something that most stair tools do not. Only negative I can think of is the hose connector is fixed at a angle that makes it a less flexible than if it had an articulating connection.

I bought this as a replacement for the Dyson stair attachment I left behind during a move. It fits my Dyson DC25 perfectly, and functions exactly as needed. No pets and no kids, so I can't speak to pet hair clean-up. However, this device gets my carpet-covered stairs vacuumed efficiently by fitting in the stair angles almost exactly. No hesitations in recommending family and friends make this purchase if they ever needed to.

Great for stairs and light rugs that can't be cleaned with a normal vacuum. More then half of your normal suction is used to turn the turbine, so don't expect a great clean with one pass.Warning: The tangle free head builds up static electricity during prolonged use. Ground it out/discharge it before touching or enjoy a very strong jolt.

I have a golden retriever and he sheds A LOT! This thing pulls up every hair everywhere. It works great with our Dyson too. I just wish we'd found it earlier!

I don't normally leave reviews for things that I have purchased, but this one is the exception. This attachment is the golden goose of vacuum attachments if you have pets. This thing busts thru hair no matter how thick my furry friends try to layer it on. Lol. Cat trees are now easy to make look new again, and my couch is staying fur free. I can even vacuum the hair off the pillows with ease. Absolutely in love with this attachment!

I have two cats and a dog... and my furniture is a fuzzy hair collecting nightmare!!!!This thing is absolutely the most wonderful attachment ever invented!!! One pass... no pet hair !!! I honestly can't believe that it works so well... I use it weekly and even after a year... it still astonishes me every time!!

We have a white golden retriever so white hair on our dark couch has been a problem. Bought this to see if it would help and it's the best way we've found to remove pet hair. Works great in the car as well. I recommend this attachment to anyone looking to remove pet hair from carpet or furniture.

The worst thing about this so far is that I had to wait to use it after I got it because it needed a converter for my DC 14. I tried it on my couch the other day bc the lab hair is out of control. So far it's pretty cool. I can't wait to try it in the car.

I have an older Dyson rechargeable vacuum. The normal spinning head gets hair wrapped around the spinning brush and clogs it. This head cleans almost as well without getting tangled in hair. Because of its design, the amount of vacuum is slightly diminished, but well worth using. The slight extra time it takes to clean is more than offset by the lack of time needed to clean off the hair. I would absolutely purchase it again.

While I certainly appreciate not having to hold and maneuver the main vacuum down a flight of stairs, I do find that the overall look of the carpet is less attractive when using this than having used the main vacuum. I don't think that this quite picks up the pile of the carpet as well, although the suction is comparable. The carpet is at least cleaner, and this definitely picks up my long hair and my dog's short white hairs off of the stairs.

We use this mostly on carpeted stairs. Surprisingly effective even on a hand-held cordless vac. Cat hair tends to cling to the bristles, but it's still useful. Overall very satisfied. Note that this powered by the vacuum suction only, no batteries, cords or electrical connection.

I was skeptical on how well this would work with my Dyson DC33 vacuum cleaner since it is driven by vacuum only. It works great for cleaning stairs compared to only using the non-brush stair tool that is supplied with the vacuum. I performed a test by first vacuuming with with stock stair tool, then I emptied the bin and used the powered attachment. I was surprised as how my dirt and dust was pulled out of the carpet and it even fluffed the carpet. I wish I would have found this attachment years ago.
