Exactly as advertised - the assembly is an exact replacement for the Dyson DC40 (minus the brushbar and footplate). Packaged well, arrived on time, works just fine. Like Dyson itself, it's a bit pricey, though.

Needed this part to replace the nub on my old unit that had broken, because I let too much hair clog the brush.Easy to install, just need the 4 screws, 2 brushes and the bottom plate from the old unit.Took just a couple minutes and saved me from buying a new Dyson vacuum. Runs well now. :). Very happy I could fix my DC40 from 2015.

This is an OEM product that perfectly replace the old one. Since the vacuum cleaner cost $500. it is nice not to have been required to replace it in its entirety. This part has been working great and has increased the effectiveness of our old cleaner.A little more work and time went into replacing this, but it happened and anyone with use of their hands should be successful.
