Must be tilted a few degrees clockwise to accurately measure water. Therefore, should keep in mind when measuring battery cells. Otherwise, seems to work OK.

There were no written instructions BUT on the back of the Clear Plastic portion of the item are raised letter instructions......Read them before use.

The people that I bought a Chinese battery charger from that doesn't work tried blaming my batteries. I put a voltage meter on them showed all good. Put a load tester all good. He said I need to do the Hydrometer it showed all good. He still can't accept the fact his Chinese Charger ain't worth

I used this on a battery having issues when cold weather hit. Found two cells that were bad. Battery has been replaced with a new one. This product works well with no mess to clean up . Very happy !!!

This is a handy easy to use hydrometer. Seems to work very well, I was able to determine mydump trailer battery has a bad cell.

It takes a couple of pumps and discharges to get a consistent reading. I trust reading after that. Suggest rinsing with tap water before storing. Or rain water.

Only draw back, is the lettering color code. It alittle hard to read. Needs the backside to be dark, to show better, the color reading code on the rim. This is only a minor problem.
