We love this can, motion sensor works well. using batteries, opted out of the adaptor, and the batteries are supposed to last for a year. Very happy with this purchase.

this is a great addition to the kitchen, when your hands are full you just go to the trash can and it pops up for easy access to throw away, and the lid goes back down a few seconds after you move your hands away. It has a plug so you don't have to fuss with batteries,and is very attractive and easy to set up as it comes with a ring on that hides your bag top, it also has a slim foot print for smaller spots in your kitchen, it surprised me that the 13 gallon bag was a perfect fit and when I pulled it out to empty it the bag was completely full. I also like that I don't have to use my feet or hands to open or close lid, as I am handicap and using foot press to open can be difficult for me, so this is perfect, and works amazing. Try it you will love it.

Only had this for a short while but it's been pretty solid so far especially for the money. The cap is definitely a cheap plastic material but gets the job done. Has good looks and the motion detection is very responsive. You can notice some odor when it opens but it's not horrible.

Once you learn where the motion detector is activated, it is easier to control the opening. Where I have the trash can located in the kitchen causes the lid to open even when someone is walking by. Using the adapter instead of the batteries help the activity last longer.

I just LOVE this trash can! Keeps the dog and odors out and kitchen clean. Makes it so much easier to toss garbage with having the lid open by itself. Thanknyou, iTouchless!!

sucker works great but i feel like the charger for the electric hood opener can wear out over time i would recommend unplugging when u leave house or go to sleep to perserve the life of the plug in adapter.

We live ours! Bought last June and still haven't had to change the batteries. Granted sometimes I'll leave it open when I'm cooking or cleaning so it's not constantly opening/closing. This is perfect for anyone wanting a touchless trash can on a budget.

This is so helpful to have in our kitchen. We have pets, so we needed to have a trashcan that was covered. This solved that problem. The sensor is accurate, when your hands are full just get close to it and it opens for you. I like the fact that you can set it to stay open as well, if you are doing something where you need it to remain open. Then, you just set it back to its normal mode when you're done with that task. Very easy to change the bags as well.

Our old trash can costs more $$$ than this one and nine if the features.The shape is more economical for normal 13 gallon bags than most cans.The open button, when pressed, leaves the lid open indefinitely. Great feature when you know your about get your hands full and cannot wave the can open.The lid lock is enough to deter our 2y old from getting in the trash.The wall plug is a must, no wasted batteries!Very satisfied.

Great product EXCEPT the sensor is too sensitive to motion nearby and yet dies not as easily detect attempts to actually move to open it. Aside from that it is great. The COSTVO white kitchen bags fit perfectly and are held very well in place. Bags are easy to fill to capacity. Fortunately the in/off switch on the back is easy to reach. So when working in the kitchen near it I open it and switch it off until I am finished. Good value.

I have two large dogs that would continually open garbage cans that I have bought in the past or knock them over. This garbage can is pet proof 100! My dogs are so pissed Ha ha!

I love the motion detection but sometimes slow to open and too quick to close. Haven't found the charcoal inserts for it yet. So far has lasted 2 months on the charcoal. I put cut onions in the trash and the odor did not come out of the can!

I wasn't sure what to expect of this garbage can or how fast it would react to our hands. After 2 weeks of trial, I must admit that I really like the way it works. It's pretty quick to react to movement, but what I really like is the 'open' and 'close' feature. If I'm cooking and will be throwing a lot of things away, I just click 'open' and it stays open for a while, I think about 5 minutes? It will close automatically after a while.I also like the size. It's for a 5th wheel, so I didn't want large 13-gal cans inside. This 8 gal has a big enough opening, and has a smaller footprint than a 13-gal. The stainless looks very nice as well, and a simple wipe-down brings it back to a new look. I also love the size of the 8-gal bags compared to 4 or 13. This unit is the perfect size all the way around.
