I like the reversible bar that goes in the middle but the base of these could be wider to provide stability. The can easily tip over if they are not positioned just right. So depending on what you are using these for just be aware you might need ones with a larger leg spacing to prevent an incident of them being knocked over.

Honestly the price of these compared to other jacks may seem steep but these just give me the peace of mind knowing that I'll be safe under my car when working on it. Definitely recommend these for any BMW worked perfectly for my F80 M3 Being that BMWs need to use the jack pad to lift the car up.

Definitely pricey, but I didn't have much of a choice given the lack of options for flat top jack stands. One of the stands had sharp metal burrs that I had to file down and the holes for the pins had leftover material that I had to punch out with a hammer and chisel. I expected better quality control given the price but they're fine functionally.

These are extremely stable, sturdy and dependable jack stands. I also have another pair of a different size. The rubber pads prevent slipping and scratching. Glad I have them. They are a bit pricey but well worth the solid, trustworthy designed product.

These have been great. They are amazingly well built and sturdy. I am able to get my nearly 4000 pound car on 4 of these and work under it feeling completely secure. The only reason I took off one star is the rubber pads on the top will split if set under a sharp corner of the underside of the car.

These work very well for holding my utility trailer up with my ATVs on them for the winter. You get what you pay for sometimes. Would recommend.

In 2021, the average cost of car insurance is over $100 per month and the average cost of health insurance is nearly $500 per month, and we all know those costs will continue to rise. These jack stands can be purchased for a little over $50 per stand...a one time fixed cost that will never need to be repeated in your lifetime if you store the stands properly. When viewed as not only a tool but also as insurance, these are incredibly good value for the protection they provide. Having used other cheap jack stands, including some that were recalled and could have killed me, these ESCO jack stands immediately impressed me with their heft, their stability, and the safety features. I also appreciate the height these can safely achieve and make doing work under a vehicle much easier. I do work on BMW and MINI, and these work great with the jacking points on those vehicles. I always push on the vehicles from multiple angles after getting them on jack stands to make certain they are stable, and with these ESCO stands, they are rock solid. I've read some reviews that knock the welds. The welds are certainly not artistic, but the welds are functionally solid. My experience with their customer service was also top tier. They were prompt, polite, and went above and beyond. I am very pleased with the ESCO 10498 jack stands.

Came with no packaging, welds even an apprentice wouldn't take responsibility for, and RUST!I ordered one before, and it was nice. However, if I needed some jack stands on the spot, and had some metal lying around, these would be it.Returning as soon as I get home.

These are great Jack Stands, and well worth the price. When I received them, they were packaged well and had very clean welds. I put them under my 2 ton car with little to no flex at all, and found they were very good. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good, solid set of jack stands. It does only come with one, so be careful if you're ordering it for your car, because the price does go up quite a bit.

It is very sturdy and built well. However, it is made for cars higher than the car I needed to use it on. This is partially my fault in doing my due diligence.

First and foremost: order these separately, one at a time if you are able. So far I've purchased 3. I need 4 for my 340i and girlfriends Jetta. If you order them in pairs they will arrive looking pretty jacked up, no pun intended. Packaging for a single is bad enough. All 3 boxes I've received so far have been banged up with parts of the stand penetrating the cardboard. No damage to the stands though, which is why it's important to only order one at a time. The paint coating is fine, but nothing special. I am considering spraying these with plasti dip or rust-oleum to give them a layer a protection. I'm convinced they will last for life as long as rust and corrosion stays away. The welds are not great, but they're more than enough to keep the jack stand from falling apart. The rubber caps are a nice touch, but I don't see them lasting long. Hockey pucks do fit perfectly in the recessed circle at the top of the stand which is why these are so desirable. My main issue is the price. One of these costs as much as a pair of stands that will safely get the job done. It's not like these are made in the USA and they certainly aren't made with crazy attention to detail. One stand is not worth $55 which seems to be what the price always is. Price history shows that the price does not deviate from $55. These are worth $35 a piece. $35 would be a very fair asking price and means you can get 4 for $140 which I would be fine with. Instead I'm spending $220 for 4 of them, which is how much my jack cost. This is the only jack stand available with this design, which is unfortunate as it is the safest and also most functional for the types of cars we will be putting on them. It's unfortunate that they cost so much, but I justify it by hoping they will last for life and give me the peace of mind of safety while underneath a vehicle. Still, it would be nice to receive some sort of bulk discount from having to buy 4. I will update this review as I use them.

So far so good. Purchased the tall one because I have suvs and trucks. I had the HF recalled ones, waste the extra money and replace them with these.

Stop messing around with HF stands. This is what you want. Listing is FOR ONE.

I got these for a couple reasons. I have an older pair of red and black from a now defunct department store. After a recall (or two) from another store, the ratchet style kind of scares me now. I also got one of those cool hydraulic lifts that puts your car up about 20”. The old red / black only top out about 15”. This will support my cars all the way up. I went with the flat vs v style due to the lift using the rails. These things are solid. I mean good stuff (compared to 30 yr old ones I have). Let you know if they fail, but they gave me a sense of security and reach the height of my lift.
