I used this game in my classroom and at home. It can be a fast-moving game of sight word fluency, flash cards, review, and new learning of words not yet exposed to. I would lay out 5 new words for students to copy and then, they take the words and move the cards into alphabetical order, you can play memory with this game, as well as indicated on the instructions. ANY game that is this inexpensive yet, has so many different uses is worth its weight in gold. One area to improve? The box. There are so many cards that you must put them back in a very tidy way which is hard for little fingers/hands to do. Sort of like trying to fold a map in just the same way! But, that's not a big deal. I buy pencil cases which are structured plastic to store this game in and pull it as a center activity, small group, one on one and now that I am not working, we use it at home. If I say, 34;Let's play, 'Splat'!34; I hear, 34;YEAH!34; and they hurry to clear a spot for their cards. We once played, 34;Go Fish34; which is how they learned that particular game. I hope to play that again with them and soon!
