excellent electronic kit - my son is mildly autistic this is the first 34;non-technical34; item I have ever seen him work with for over 1/2 an hour - most of his entertainment comes in the form of video games, phones, etc. but this was a real breakthrough for him - the directions are very easy to follow all of the parts are self contained segments that simply plug into the clear base - connect them together and you have an active light with switch or use the speaker and you get the electronic birthday song - add the sound modifier thingy you get alien sounds - use the other modifier thingy and you can change the sound with your finger - highly recommended for first time electronic testers -

I highly recommend this product. It is the perfect combination of education and entertainment for curious young minds. Learn about circuits while building fun devices and having enough freedom to go beyond the included book and make your own interesting combinations. I bought this for a smart 8 year old and he was occupied for hours. I also enjoyed working with him on the projects and it seems to be a good project for kids to work on with their parents.
