It's rather cheaply made, won't snap on to bucket easily, only when you sit your butt on it. But it does work in a pinch. You get what you pay for

I already had a bucket from HomeDepot but it doesn't fit properly. Bought a Lowe's bucket and the fit is much better. Other than that it does the job.

we have bought a different brand in the past that was sturdier than this one it does the job but not as well made as the others

I don't know what kind of bucket this seat is supposed to fit, but it does not fit your standard bucket (which is annoying) I thought I could purchase this seat and expect it to fit your average 5 gallon bucket (my husband does construction work and we have PLENTY of buckets), it doesn't. I have tried every bucket that he has available and it doesn't fit a single one.<br /><br />We typically camp out in the wilderness away from the luxuries of home. I got tired of trying to find a bush and lugging around the large seat/bucket combo that I made from a kiddie toilet seat from IKEA, so I broke down and purchased this seat - it was reasonably priced I'll give it that.<br /><br />It does snap halfway on the bucket, but not completely. I can make it work. I weigh 140 lbs and this seat does hold me up without a problem. I'm just aggravated that it doesn't seem to fit properly.

Very thin plastic will do the job

This toilet seat sat on top of our 5-gallon bucket. It didn't snap on, so with the lid open, it would easily fall off. The plastic itself is very cheap. I'm sure if I was very heavy, I would be afraid of breaking it. I might even break it now, but I didn't have a chance to actually use it on our last trip. The hinge on the lid keeps slipping. I'm sure that will break soon. Overall, it's better than nothing, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Fits perfectly onto any spackle bucket. great for camping, now the girls don't have to wander in the dark to the ladies room in the middle of the night. Good purchase.
