I put this in a silverface Princeton Reverb, and it sounds great. Very warm, and plenty of volume. I'd buy another.

Tone is a matter of personal preference so I will not rate based on that. Took a little while to break in. I used this to replace the stock speaker in my Fender Custom 68 Princeton Reverb Reissue. The highs are more subdued, the word fatter comes to mind when considering tone in comparison to the stock speaker with a semi-hollow body guitar (ES-335). High quality, solidly built speaker with top notch customer support from seller and manufacturer. With this speaker I can turn the Bass to 0, and the treble up to 7 and I still get a bassy tone that is nice for Jazz w/ ES-335, but can definitely pump out some bold rock with either that guitar or my Les Paul for sure. Heard this speaker at a friend's gig in a vintage Fender cabinet he was playing a Tele style guitar. Awesome surf sound. Definitely a quality speaker, and if you like it, you like it. I do.

Great speaker. I installed it in my 1980 Roland cube 40 to get a better jazz tone and it sounds phenomenal!

This is a great warm speaker. The build quality is perfect. Great speaker for a Fender Princeton amp. Very smooth creamy tone. Great for jazz or if you like a thick clean tone. Not a rock and roll speaker.
