I have a pair of these speakers in a 65 reissue Twin, and it is absolutely perfect. I decided recently to put this speaker in my Mesa Electradyne, WOW! I make my living as a guitar player, and have 9 fantastic amps right now, this speaker could very well make its way to all of them. It’s clear, no notchy mid range convulted EQ stuff, and a warm fat bottom end. It really is the sound of American amps (provided your amp will deliver that sound).

It's not going to make a gigantic 34;blow you away34; type of change to your rig. But, it is a moderately nice upgrade. It is noticeable and does really make you ramp pop more. I didn't notice a warmer low end on its own, or smoother highs, etc. etc. I noticed everything (my entire EQ range) was effected positively; everything is punchier, warmer, and more in your face. But like I said, its not this amazing life changing difference. However, coupled together with some nicer quality tubes (like mullard, tung-sol gold pins, etc.) now we're talking! That's what's going to blow you away. Try to upgrade as much as you can, and the cumulative effect is really going to make the difference. I completely re-vamped by hot rod deluxe (had a buddy change out some circuits and pots and stuff), I upgraded the speaker and messed around with different types of tubes, and it sounds really really nice. I also have a delta blues 1534; and hot rod deville that'll I'll start doing upgrades on, but right now my deluxe currently blows the two away on sound quality.

This speaker gets so much hype, especially for the Fender SuperChamp XD /X2. Truth is, it ditches a lot of the higher freq. that Fenders are known for. What I ended up doing is taking the stock Eminence/Fender speaker that was the OEM from my X2 and put is in a slant 1x10 cab made of pine. Holy smokes, what a tonal difference vs it being part of the combo. The Ragin Cajun is not a bad speaker but truth be told, it is NOT better than the stock speaker unless you are trying to get rid of the Fender Glassy highs.

I put this into a Fender FM25R and the tone and the sound quality is great, it also made the amp sound a lot louder than the original speaker.

Has a very soft distinct tone. Think early 60's rock and blues. High end does not punch through, metal players won't like it but us old vintage guys will understand why this speaker rocks. Helps tame anything bright (amp, pick ups, etc).

upgraded my guitar amp. Much improved from the stock speakers. Cleans sound pretty decent, add some gain and this speaker really screams

Very good upgrade to the Fender Superchamp XD. It made every setting better. The 34;Marshall34; voice now actually sounds like Marshall. It is like having a brand new amp. Easy to install.

Installed in a Fender Blues Jr. along with some cooler JJ tubes to get maximum headroom. Speaker isn't for metal, which is fine with me. For country and blues, this is an excellent choice. Takes the harshness out of the stock Fender speaker in the higher frequencies, but doesn't reduce the highs or muddy them up. I wouldn't say the speaker is warm (ie: it isn't bottom heavy) it is just fairly flat and smooth. Doesn't sound like it is coloring the sound of the amp, just reproducing it. No brainer upgrade if you run clean to moderately crunchy and want definition and clarity. It does seem a bit louder than the stock speaker, too. I went from liking my Blues Jr. to loving it. The difference is obvious.

I just put this in my mid 70s Deluxe Reverb, replacing a 25w Weber 12F150 which I found too flabby/honky/barky. Instantly it sounded better. More sparkle and a tighter bottom end. Very happy so far.

I have one word to describe this speaker...INCREDIBLE! The Cannabis Rex changed my 2003 USA Hot Rod Deluxe instantly. Bass tightened up perfectly and the trebles really smoothed out compared to the sloppy, gurgling lows and piercing highs of the Fender stock speaker. Much more dynamic as well.

First of all, it takes about 5 minutes with a Philips screwdriver to change the speaker so no excuses. Although I 34;liked34; the Jensen speaker that came stock from the factory, this speaker gives me the tone I was looking for. Warm and clear and maybe a bit louder too. The shrillness of the bridge pickup on my Strat is under control and I can crank the preamp way up. Ok so this may sound odd but if you're looking for a warmer 34;Oooooooo34; voicing and less of the Bright 34;Eeeeeeeeee34; then try this speaker.

Very nice speaker. Sounded great the second I installed it. Break end period is over and it sounds even better. I replaced a Jensen speaker in a blues jr. It's a much smoother speaker over the brighter Jensen, although the Jensen had more bite. The Jensen in a blues jr playing a strat was just too bright for me. Loving the Cannabis Rex; it's one great speaker with a really nice low end and incredible mids

I bought the speaker to replace a blown speaker in my Fender blues Deville, and it was a huge difference, even right out of the box. The speaker is much brighter, louder, and clearer than the other eminence blue alnico that came stock. I was originally looking at the Celestion G10 vintage, but the price was right on this speaker, and I do not regret this purchase even for a second. Plus a techie friend of mine recommended Eminence over Celestion, and I'm glad I took his advice. I even think the sound clips on the eminence website don't do the speaker justice. Fantastic upgrade for any amp!
