If you crank down on they will crumple and definitely not keep out any water

These fit well on most truck-sized tie rod ends like the FJ-80 rod ends on my 4Runner and also my 1-ton prerunner Econoline van.

Lots of ability to fit different steering ends and they will keep the dirt out and seal well and the rubber quality looks excellent

Boot on my 2001 Ford E-350 van's pitman arm tie-rod end was torn and leaking grease. This worked great to fix that problem.

The original style boots were cracked while the tie rods were still good. Installed the replacement caps and they sealed nicely to retain the grease in the tie rods.I plan to keep some of theses on hand for replacing old and defective boots. They should for most GM tie rods.

boot worked no seal at bottom. Used on Outer tie-rod ends. I Removed old outer Tie-Rod boot and wire retainer on lower side. When Installing new boots found new ones had a small gap that can allow dirt and debris to get in. had to adjust several times to cover completely. Material is high quality. Will work Just not a tight seal to keep grease in and dirt out.

I finally got around to installing these. They work OK but they're a little bit small for 1 ton tie rod ends. I'll run them for now but I will replace them when I get the proper size. They are much thicker than the stock boots. That was nice.

Energy Suspension is a name you can trust, and these boots are no exception. You know the story: building a truck, previous owner bought new tie rod ends and lost the rubber boots, grease zert , cotter pin and castle nut, anyway these boots are great!

I installed a Moog DS1430 tie rod / drag link on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler as part of an overall steering refresh/upgrade. Within 500 street-only miles the boot on the link completely split. This is a perfect replacement. It does go on very tight but it finally seats with a pop once you start getting the joint torqued down.
