I wanted this to play with my grandchild online. It is a good size to use comfortably. One star off due to needing to open up the stuffing to provide more padding over the mouth hinge. The mouth is very tight on arrival. The mouth material is plastic so you need to create a bend along the sew line for both the top and bottom of the mouth pieces. You can fit a thumb and finger in the arms to clap and play peek-a-boo. You cannot manipulate the arms and mouth at the same time. I am very happy I bought it. (Another good choice for adults to use online is the Aurora dog, which is good to go out of the box.)

My almost 2 year old loves Elmo and recently got a horse puppet which she really liked so this was a no brainer. She really likes this toy. The mouth is a little stiff at first but you get used to it. Also cool that you can move the hands and do songs like “if you're happy and you know it” or peekaboo by covering Elmo's face with his hands. Seems like good quality by a reputable brand. Overall very happy with purchase. Hoping she'll listen to Elmo when she won't listen to us!

Having purchased a variety of puppets, from a number of vendors, for my toddlers, I must say the Gund puppets are so well crafted.I've been a fan of the Gund brand of plush since I learned of them working in the children's department of Neiman Marcus. Really great products always. Trust Gund quality value for the price.

Looks like Elmo with a thick neck. However, the neck room is necessary to get your hand through. Very soft and durable. Also, if you have large enough hands and have finger dexterity, you can move the mouth and arms simultaneously. Solid buy.
