Was using the old pins with a cotter pin and lost the cotter pin ,this will not be te case with these new ones!

Bought a set of these (and a spare set) to replace the OEM WD clips/keepers that SOME A-HOLE STOLE OFF OUR TRAILER IN A REMOTE CAMPSITE.... The spring clip works better than the OEM style with the pin you insert, which you can lose if you misplace it. Buy a spare set for cheap insurance against thieves. The don't rust, are a sort of semi-shiny stainless finish so you can see them easier than say black ones, and are strong.

These pins with the snap rings are so much easier to use than my old ones with the cotter type pins. I've only just started using them on my weight equalizer and sway bars, but I can't imagine anything going bad with them. No more busted knuckles or lost pins. I'll probably keep my old ones just in case I lose one though. Not sure if they were priced good, but they seem like a good value.

I have used the cotter pins on my 10k distribution hitch for 4 years now. I just bought these as they looked like they might be knuckle savers in contrast to the cotter pins.One of the best purchases I've made for the trailer - makes hooking up and disconnecting that much easier, while also lifting the pins up above the equalizer bars so the trailer is quieter when in motion. Excellent upgrade and would not hesitate to recommend to another Equalizer owner if they are using the older cotter style pins.
